Dentist need to have good manual dexterity, negotiation skills, judgment,  professionalism, Taking good care of your teeth and gums can prevent serious  health conditions. Education: Becoming a dentist takes 3-4 years after obtaining an undergraduate degree. Earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery DDS or Doctor of Dental Medicine DDM.
