Food Service Workers

Prepare large volumes of food for both patients and staff. Food is prepared from preset menu's and prepare special meals for patients requiring therapeutic diets. Clean and sanitize the work area. Stock and maintain supplies, clean dishes, equipment and utensils according to policy. 

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Having (1) year of cooking experience. 

Average Salary: $31,000-$33,000

Biomedical Equipment Technician

Biomedical Equipment Technicians are responsible for maintaining and repairing medical equipment. They work on x-ray machines, electric wheel chairs, and patient monitors to name a few. They would need to work in emergency situations when equipment needs to be repaired immediately. 

Education: Associates degree or Bachelors degree in Biomedical Medical Technology is ideal but some facilities may provide on the job training.  

Average Salary: $46,000 - $65,000.

Environmental Services

Clean all areas of the hospital. Demonstrate the ability to use appropriate supplies according to procedure. Be able to identify safety precautions and safety hazard.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent

Average Salary: $32,000
